On Tuesday 28th March 2000 I traveled to Bristol's Colston Hall to see GARY MOORE. This was my first time at Colston Hall and I was amazed at the size of the venue.
At 8.15 GARY MOORE came on stage along with his latest band consisting of Keyboards, Bass, and Drum. The band performed several tracks including WALKING BY MYSELF, STILL GOT THE BLUES, and SURRENDER which comes from the new album "A Different Beat", which I shall be buying at the earliest opportunity. They also performed NEED YOUR LOVE SO BAD and THE SKY IS CRYING, I then remembered he had recorded a tribute album to PETER GREEN called "Blues For Greeny" which I also intend to get.
During the performance he had to replace one of his guitars because one of the strings broke.
At around 9.40 the band said Goodnight for the first time which came as some surprise as there had been no interval and the performance had not seemed that long.
On the third encore he performed his most famous track PARISIENNE WALKWAYS.
